As Veego generates considerable interest and continues to grow, we are expanding our senior management team. Today, we would like to announce that Assaf Katan has become our Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Assaf brings a 20-year track record in startup and corporate environments with vast experience leading strategic business initiatives, accelerated growth and transformation processes. He has worked with many leading ISPs, CSPs and IoT executives in the world of connected and smart homes, exactly in Veego’s sweet spot. His appointment constitutes a necessary strengthening of senior management to support Veego’s fast ramp-up. “I am totally turned on by the potential of what Veego is doing in the smart-home space. I intend to leverage the company’s breakthrough technologies to boost its presence across the smart-home map,” declared Katan. “Our USP is exciting and we are ready to let the world know.”
Prior to coming to Veego, Assaf was CEO and co-founder of Apertio Technologies, a startup in the big-data space where he built and launched the first open-data, deep-search and discovery solution.
In this role, Assaf attracted investment and worked with Tier-1 design partners in the Financial and Retail markets. Assaf served as CEO of Radyoos Media, a telecom OTT monetization solution provider. Brought in to restart the company in a new market, Assaf re-positioned the company from B2C to B2B in the
media and telecom convergence space. He chartered a new course in the go-to-market operation and created a rich funnel of potential customers worldwide.
Over a three-year period at Compulocks, a market leader in tablet security and display solutions, Assaf established and managed a global sales force and attracted world-class channel partners.
Under his leadership, the company tripled revenues with very high profitability. Assaf nurtured strategic partnerships with enormous global brands such as Apple, Microsoft and Samsung. Assaf has held positions in Business Development and Marketing, including a 6-year stint at multi-billion dollar, high-tech conglomerate, Comverse.
At Veego, Assaf reports to CEO, Amir Kotler who stated, “I had the pleasure of working with Assaf during our military service in Unit 8200 where I was his commanding officer. I know from this experience that Assaf brings strong interpersonal skills that enable him to lead and manage people and drive them to success. We look forward to his imprint on our business relationships and sales activities throughout our very rapidly expanding market.”
